Great pizza. Extremely thin crust. Dining room was nothing special - purely utilitarian - but very clean. Plus, you're there for the pizza anyway. The staff recommended eating in so the crust stays crisp, eating it right out of the oven.
Bob’s Pizza is truly an institution in Moore County. Bob and Bertha Newcomer were pillars of the community—always generous, always welcoming. They sponsored Little League teams, helped neighbors who didn’t have enough to eat, and made everyone feel at home. Jody and Wayne proudly carry on that tradition today. While the interior has been refreshed, it still captures a classic slice of Americana from decades past. And the pizza? Dependable and delicious—especially if you’re a fan of a thin crust. In an area overflowing with chain restaurants and cookie-cutter menus, Bob’s Pizza stands out. Let’s celebrate originality, local flavor, and a place that has meant something to this community for generations. 🍕
Great, Wonder pizza. We can get pizza and the best tea for under $20. They only take cash or check but there is an ATM inside. The best pizza if you love thin crust. Worth the few extra miles out of Aberdeen toward Vasd.
Not much in the way of table service or greeting when you walk in unless you're a regular. No fountain drinks. $1.25 a can. $2.25 a 2 liter. Tea is $1.50 a cup. I was with my wife Robyn so we opted for the $2.00 half gallon. After sitting for a few minutes a lady came up finally with two ice cups asked what we wanted. A greeting would be nice. 4 other tables so not busy. I told the lady I haven't been here for about 15 years and my wife never had. Still no information about the establishment or menu choices. We opted for the $4.00 salad bar and while fresh and cold was very limited. Building appears to be clean and in good repair. 96.5 health score. I'm told their crust is homemade. It's good and the pizza was hot and fresh, but the crust is so thin it's impossible to hold a slice with
I've been all over the country and had different styles of pizza in NYC, St. Louis, Chicago and many others. I like this place. Apparently the original owner, ostensibly Bob, brought the recipe and style of pizza back from Italy upon returning from service in WWII. And it's very good thin-crust pizza at an amazing price point. In fact, I'd say it's the best in the county. The restaurant itself has a lot of history and heart. I've had a number of pizzas and the sausage dog. The "Bob's Around the World" is by far my favorite. It provides a broad sampling of their pizza toppings. There are a number of paintings on the interior and exterior that appear to be completed by one person over the series of several decades. There's a picture of what appears to be the original proprietors o
