Customer Reviews
We quit going to Bob's looooong ago, because the service had just become unbearably slow and inattentive. We found ourselves on a day where some of our regulars were closed. We weren't up for Uniontown, South Street Grill, or any of the fine downtown haunts, and weren't in the mood for Mexican..... We LOVE all, but the downtowns often do have wait times and as much as we love both Mexican restaurants, you do have to have a taste for it. We "reluctantly" tried Bob's, as we do enjoy the food and love the rolls. We were pleasantly surprised at the improved service, and have since been back multiple times. We've had decent service the last several times, and we're hopeful it holds, as variety is indeed the spice of life.
Our server was excellent. The tossed salad had a nice variety of vegetables in it although i prefer romaine and it was iceberg with a few spinach leaves. Here’s what I was bummed out about - the lettuce was wimpy. Next thing was my partners coleslaw. He said it was wimpy. Our fries and my fish were good but imo needed brought up out of the fryer about 1-2 minutes sooner. Anyone that has (and I have) ran a deep fryer knows what a 1-2 minute difference can make.
Had a pretty good wait to be seated. Get inside and alot of tables was empty. Some of the food was over cooked. Yes pancakes wasn't the best and was hard. Server wasn't bad.
Our waitress Julie was wonderful. Best waitress ever! She made sure we had everything we needed and we didn't have to wait for coffee refills. She even took time to talk and laugh with us.
The grandkids love this place. They were willing to give up McD's, Arby's and Wendy's to eat here. One got breakfast, Piggy Pancakes, one got Mac'n' Cheese and broccoli, one Chicken Tenders. The Piggy Pancakes are plated to look like the face of a pig. Cute.
