Boathouse On The Bay

I came in on a Thursday for to go order. Was told to sit at the bar and waited 45 minutes for my order to only see that it was sitting there by the hostess and getting cold in a bag but i did not want to assume. So i waited and after a while I had to ask the bartender who was very nice about my order and then all of a sudden my order was ready, which was the bag sitting waiting for me. For an $80 meal I’m super disappointed. By the time I got back to my hotel, the food was cold. Why not just have people place the order at the bar so that the bartender can keep tabs on it. The bartender comped my husband’s drink but there was no apologies or offer to remake the luke warm food. I am really disappointed in the service. The overall restaurant vibe was nice. This place is a must-visit! The whitefish soup was incredibly delicious, and I can honestly say the lobster roll was one of the best I have ever had. I can't recommend this place enough—it's a definite must for anyone who loves great seafood.

Visited once in 2021 and had a fantastic Lobster Roll. The decor is great and it’s a good place for a meal in Sister Bay.

Stopped in for lunch and ordered the whitefish chowder and half wedge salad. Both were excellent and more than enough for lunch. I noticed other tables getting the lobster mac and cheese and the lobster rolls. They looked great, but I would have needed a bigger appetite to tackle those. My server, “Curlss” with two s’s, was phenomenal. She was friendly, engaging, and quick to take care of anything I needed. The menu is on the pricey side, but that seems to be more about Sister Bay in general than this restaurant specifically. Overall, a great spot for lunch with attentive service and good food.

Came here on a Friday night for a quick dinner and enjoyed it! We got calamari to share, watermelon mojitos, and I got the fish fry dinner. I was certainly not expecting this fish fry to be so big, it was actually pretty disappointing that I had to waste at least half of it. I wish there was a half plate option if the regular dinner is this large, or at least have a description on the menu with how many pieces they include (I would’ve ordered something else if I knew)! The drinks and everything else were tasty as well.
