Roots Inn & Kitchen

We were looking for a cozy, romantic B&B to spend our anniversary weekend and the Roots Inn was PERFECT! It’s very close to the main area of Sister Bay but just down a quiet street. Collin is incredibly accommodating and attentive. Breakfast was unique, healthy, filling and DELICIOUS! Collin is very conscious of specific dietary needs and food preferences. We will ABSOLUTELY return in the future, I think we found our new favorite go to place to stay. Thank you to the Roots team for making it a great stay!

Chef Collin is an artist of his craft. We’ve eaten here several times and everything is a perfect taste explosion. He tailors a menu to a vegan diet that everyone can enjoy and appreciate.

Absolutely phenomenal food! Minus dessert, our table ordered everything on the menu. You CANNOT go wrong! This is amongst the best food I've ever eaten, in.my.life. The flavor is bursting out of every bite, it was fresh..had sauces to refresh your tongue and awaken your senses. Amazing food, great service..and even our picky eaters joined in on the fun! If I lived here, I would be a regular!! Instead, I will remember this experience as anything but regular!! Also, the atmosphere is warm and cozy and completely unique!

We really enjoyed our stay at Root Inn. We felt so comfortable there and really liked our room. The location was perfect and Collin was such a good host. The breakfast Collin made for us was so fun and absolutely delicious. We want to go back and experience more of the Roots menu! Roots is a hidden gem in Sister Bay. We stayed for two nights, and the rooms were cozy, clean, and comfortable. Collin runs a fantastic establishment—he’s incredibly attentive and clearly cares about his guests. The daily breakfast was fresh, healthy, and delicious. It was so good, we even came back for lunch! We’ll definitely be back, and I’ll recommend this spot to anyone visiting the area.
