Blue Iguana Taco Bar & Cantina

The food was delicious!! Our server was very slow and didnt check on us. The interior of restaurant is bright snd cheerful -- loved the turquoise and blues.

Excellent service, great atmosphere, delicious authentic Mexican cuisine served by a very friendly waiter. And the margaritas were a perfect ... Music was provided by Prentice James for our listening entertainment.

Good Mexican restaurant in Lake Charles. My tacos were good. The barbacoa, chicken, and carnitas tacos were bland in my opinion. The al pastor tacos were excellent! The tortillas are homemade and delicious. Overall there are better Mexican restaurants in LC, but the al pastor tacos are worth another visit. The staff was great and very friendly and attentive.

In my quest to find a Mexican restaurant that is different than EVERY other Mexican restaurant around, I may have found it. The bright design is very light and inviting. The service we got from Pablo was excellent, he was very attentive but didn’t hover, or make us feel rushed. I had the Iguana at the docks, (Mahi mahi with rice and veggies) the fish was a little over cooked but the flavor was on point, very good. My wife had the two street tacos and she loved them. And the margarita flight is the reason we went and it did not disappoint. Very highly recommend this place.

Sat on patio was nice. Ordered street tacos not good meat was not seasoned good. Being from Texas they were very different. It was hard to explain to my server exactly what I wanted due to a little bit of a language barrier. Now happy hour margaritas was smooth and amazing, I only had strawberry due to my server not able to recommend other flavors, like the blue one. Overall just nice to sit on patio in the breeze under the umbrella. Which is why I stopped to eat. Outdoor sitting.
