Blue Fin Sushi & Teriyaki

I’ve been going to Blue fin for years when I used to work in Claremont. My go to was always chicken teriyaki with a side of California rolls. I went back after some years and glad I did. It was as good as it was then. I love small businesses because I get to support someone’s else’s dream of owning and operating a business and ultimately supporting someone’s family and life. Everyone here is and has always been super friendly and helpful. If you’re coming through Claremont and craving some great food, come show them some love. They have a great patios as well and offer jazz nights I believe. Happy eating friends!

Food is good for a quick bite. However, for the price, the food could have been of better quality. I ordered chicken combination plate. I really enjoyed the chicken and may come back for that. My significant other ordered sushi and sashimi. The rolls were good, but didn't have much character. They were by the book as you can get. Still good tho!

My second time coming here. The hot night roll (shown in my photo) is bomb. They're a little pricey and menu is preeettty confusing but since we go for food, I'm giving 4 tars. That one roll seemed to tide me over for lunch but would need more for dinner and that's gonna rack up. Only docking them a star for price.

I got the Fremont roll and it was really good! Tempura was crunchy and fish tasted fresh. I will come back.

Evidently this place must specialize on phone orders, not very friendly for sit in dining. Especially if you have a family with young children ( albeit well-behaved children). Noticed how the owner would greet people coming in to pick up their orders from very cheerfully however the impression we got was of indifference almost as if we were a nuisance and they were waiting for us to vacate. Not good when nowadays you are paying upwards of $70+ for lunch.... the days of tipping are gone as well.
