I first tried Blimpie over a year ago when they still had a store in Gainesville. I ordered The Blimp sandwich and I was surprised at the size of it. As for how it tasted, it was very good. Compared to other sub sandwich restaurants, I found Blimpie to have more of everything in their sandwiches. When the Blimpie in Gainesvlle closed, through Google Maps, I found the next closest one to be on Friendship Rd. I went there for an early dinner and while a smaller location, the atmosphere was homey and the person up front was exceptionally cordial. I ordered a regular Hoboken Hero combo with chips and a drink to go. The sandwich was great with all the meats and condiments blending together creating a feeling of bliss. A great place for sub sandwiches!
Ordered a Blimpe turkey sandwich - Born and raised in NY on Blimpe sandwiches. This was terrible. Meat has an aftertaste - lettuce not fresh. Highly disappointed.
If you haven't tried a sub from Blimpie lately, you are missing out. VERY GOOD VALUE. The Sub was very good. More meat than their nearest competitor.
People are sleeping on Blimpie. Been a while since I had a Blimpie sandwich and had a taste for one. The store is very clean and has a nostalgic feel to it. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Sandwich was great!
Absolutely love Blimpie!!!! Grew up on it and it’s my fav sub sandwich.
