Blalock Seafood & Specialty Gulf Shores

The spicy “Low Country Boil” from Blalock Seafood Market was a total winner! Loaded with fresh shrimp, corn, potatoes, and Conecuh sausage — all steamed to perfection and packed with bold flavor. Messy, delicious, and totally worth it. YUM!

The ladies were extremely helpful! The shrimp boil is amazing, great price, and more than enough food. We ordered 6 orders (family of 6) $10 an order. And we were able to eat it for 2 meals and still had plenty left over.

Inexpensive and high quality low country boil. We picked it up on the way home from Saturday night mass. We will do this again. Staff was friendly and helpful, food was great. Shrimp were perfect! Too many places over cook their shrimp, these were excellent!

I love coming back home to visit family and my grandfather requested that we pick up some steamed shrimp from Blalock’s for dinner. It was actually the first time I had been in there after unknowingly passing it for years. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We got 1.3lbs of medium-sized shrimp. They offered to steam them for us, they asked whether or not we wanted them cooled or left hot, and they seasoned them spicy for us! They had tons of seasonings, sauces, and crackers inside as well. Also, I liked that the prices were clearly displayed instead of just saying “market price.” I look forward to picking up some cooled, steamed shrimp to take back to Birmingham to share! What a cool spot! Check it out!

The shrimp and snow crab legs were cooked to perfection. The owner, Alex, was extremely helpful and so nice. And the cashier was friendly and helpful. There were so many good seafood choices I wish we’d discovered it sooner on our trip; we would’ve bought food there every day. And it smelled delicious—like old bay and freshly cooked crab.
