Blair House Inn

I really enjoyed staying at the Blair House Inn. We stayed in the Blair House Cottage which is located just behind the main house because the room allows pets. Our pet was the first cat to stay there. The cottage is a barn stable converted into a studio with a complete kitchen. The website says it has a stove top, but is actually a full kitchen range with an oven. Everything is complete with cookware, dishes and utensils. The bed is super comfy and warm. The bathroom is complete with a bathroom heater, shower, and a sink. Helen was very accommodating to our needs and even provided us with a complimentary bottle of Chardonnay from one of the local wineries. This was my second time to stay here. I just returned home last night, and I already can’t wait to go back. The house is so cozy and walking distance to everything in town. Each room has their own distinct style and the beds are so soft. If you are a fan of Murder, She Wrote, staying at the Blair House is a must. Helen is a wonderful and gracious hostess. It is a lovely place to visit.

Blair house Inn was just magical! We so enjoyed our long weekend in Mendocino. Helen was so warm and hospitable and made us feel right at home! The room was comfortable and cozy during the colder nights, and we slept so well during our stay. It’s perfectly located in the little village, as you’re just steps away from the charming main street through town, which has some great shopping (Mendocino Tea Co, Tangents, Slug sister vintage, and The Study Room were my particular favorites). We loved the local cuisine as well, especially Trillium, Beaujolais, and the Little River Inn for dinner, and the Good Life cafe for lunch and breakfasts. |Absolutely wonderful weekend - we will be back!!

We loved the Blair House Inn! A must to experience, especially for fans of Murder She Wrote. We stayed in the Blair Cottage. The cottage is in the back of the property. We parked right next to it. The cottage is adorable! It has a full kitchen and all the necessary amenities. The proprietor was lovely, she went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. It is a short walk into town, we enjoyed dinner and a walk to the ice cream shop. Mendocino is a charming town and the Blair House is a perfect fit for a wonderful getaway!

We splurged and stayed in Angela’s Suite. Every time we walked into the house, it felt like we were coming home. Quiet, relaxing, great location. Love the care and attention given to maintaining the detail of the Victorian decor. Our hostess, Helen, was delightful.
