Agate Cove Inn

Finally got to experience a getaway at Agate Cove Inn.. I booked a room and arrived to find out they upgraded to a different one. Though the room was very spacious, some of the surfaces were well worn. There was a hair behind the toilet seat 🚽 Coffee was very basic shmasic (Starbucks Keurig , Bigolow Tea, cheap creamers) And the breakfast..I also found a long black HAIR when serving myself some scrambled eggs. No fresh fruit aside from the three blueberries on top a pancake. Its not hard to lay out a bowl or two of fruit. It was OK.!

Had a great experience here at the Agate Cove Inn. My wife and I booked it for our Anniversary/Babymoon and couldn't ask for a better property. Check-in was easy and I believe her name was Susanne was very accommodating. Room was clean, everything worked, breakfast was delicious (as well as the homemade sourdough), and the views were amazing. Very close to everything. Will definitely be coming back on our next trip to Mendocino.

We only stayed one night but it was wonderful! Gracious host(s), beautiful setting just out of the fray of “downtown” Mendocino, yet still very close to town; gorgeous views from the property; lovely room that was nicely appointed; and a fabulous breakfast. The only downsides for us were that the shower ran out of hot water very quickly the first time we used it (but was fine the second time), probably because our neighbors were showering at the same time; and the light from the electric fireplace coming on and off throughout the night kept waking us up. But otherwise it was a very pleasant stay and we would highly recommend it!

My husband and I were here at the start of the new year for two nights as part of our delayed honeymoon roadtrip. We had a little hiccup when checking in and were quickly and smoothly upgraded to a different room (Sunstone). The customer service continued to be one of the best things about staying here. The keyless entry was nice and easy, parking was the same. We ended up getting there later that evening than expected and had not previously been in the area so the grounds and views were a total surprise the next morning. The guest room next to the office that has ice was available 24/7 with another keyless entry and had tea, coffee, hot chocolate and homemade cookies. I got to the inn at 5:30ish and staff was already gone. There were instructions on the door on how to get in with a code that was sent via email - I never got that email. I texted the emergency number and not long after I received a text welcoming me to my stay along with the door code. ||I had been driving all day so it didn’t register immediately that this place looked a bit different than what I remembered in the pictures. I’m sure during a beautiful, sunny day it looks much better but at night the Topaz unit looked sad and tired. The bathroom was mostly clean but the shower appears to not have been updated since the 90s. There was a hairball in the shower. The bathrooms windows have been covered with a kaleidoscope film but has been taped over on the sides so it feels like it’s been DI
