Blacksmith Inn On the Shore

We stayed two nights in early November, and it was absolutely wonderful! Quiet, cozy, and comfortable, and what a view! We loved the historic building and decor, and the location couldn't have been better for walking along the shore to the Ridges. The guys staffing the front desk were friendly and responsive. The breakfast croissants were delicious. We'll definitely stay here again!||One caveat: this place would not be good for people with stair-climbing difficulties or balance issues. The bathrooms have no grab bars, and the showers are small and slippery.

We’ve stayed here so many times and always come back. No kids, no pets, no groups. It’s peaceful, quiet, and comfortable. Harbor views from the rooms, delicious breakfast delivered to you each day, cozy rooms with fireplaces- best little getaway!

My husband and I spent three nights at the beautiful Blacksmith Inn. We stayed in room 6 which is on the top floor, making it very quiet and private. It was spotless and had all of the little touches that one hopes for during their stay. The whirlpool tub was relaxing and after adding the available packet of bath salts, my skin felt amazing! The bed was comfortable, but for two people used to a king size, felt a little small. The weather was too warm for use of the fireplace, but the lovely deck overlooking the lake was perfect for fresh air and gorgeous scenery. We ordered breakfast two mornings and loved the spinach and ricotta croissant, the bacon and egg croissant, and the pumpkin pecan muffin was so yummy! It was lovely to have breakfast delivered to our room each morning!|We stopped

This Bed and Breakfast was amazing. It was clean, reasonably priced, and exactly what we thought we were getting/ staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious and the view was amazing. It was quaint and cozy and a perfect stay!

This was such an excellent place to stay. The hotel is all expertly done in colonial style and very comfortable. We received a lovely breakfast of our choosing delivered to our door. There were daily baked cookies and popcorn available, as well as a variety of beverages stocked in a communal mini fridge. Wow, the gardens are gorgeous while we were there in early June. We walked right down to the beach from the property. It was quiet and wonderful here!
