Blackhawk BBQ Pit

It's a nice small local feeling restaurant in an old gas station that they have remodeled into the restaurant while keeping the integrity of the old shop look. We went for lunchtime and the food was fantastic. The quantities of food were also good. I got the new Pepper Brisket Melt. It was fantastic. They have several trailers that they go out to different locations and cities to provide the same great BBQ food as the restaurant. I have had food from the trailer several times in Idaho Falls previously, and it was the same great quality as what you can get from the restaurant.

It was good for a BBQ pit. I’m from Texas so I judge things a bit too harshly. I will say: the double stack burger could use more sauce because of the dryness the pulled pork has. The Mac and cheese was good, but I personally don’t like it with pepper in it. But overall, not bad.

Food is very good. They could have some warm buns and add dill pickles to the menu. The BBQ is very good but not sure I find it at the award winning level. Service is patchy depending on who is serving. Atmosphere is very airy. It's quite a cool atmosphere. Beans were excellent.

Ok Blackhawk BBQ in Blackfoot ID if you're passing through, you must try them . If you go line, they have food trucks. The food is just as good. The BBQ nachos is a fantastic feast. My daughter had there out of the world brisket sandwich and there to die for Mac and cheese.

I’ve been in Idaho for six weeks and this is without any doubt the best brisket I’ve had in this State. Would prefer to have the fat rendered a little more. Bark was perfect. Not a huge fan of the nontraditional potato salad, but you gotta try something different every now and then. Nice Job Blackhawk. Thank You for Your Service.
