Black Twig Bakery

Love this place, so glad we checked it out! I ordered a bunch of custom sugar cookies for a corporate Chinese New Year event, and they turned out awesome. The cookies have just the right amount of sweetness, and aren’t too sweet (we got some from a different bakery last year and they were so sweet I couldn’t eat them). We also tried a few things from the bakery when we stopped by to pick up our order, and I must say the sugar cookies there (totally different from the custom ones, they have a buttercream frosting) are probably the best I’ve ever had! We also got an oatmeal creme pie and gosh what a delicious throwback to childhood. Already looking for an excuse to go back😄 and it’s a 20 minute drive! Not to mention, their prices are quite reasonable for what you get.

We ordered 3 flavors of cupcakes (vanilla, german chocolate & carrot) and 2 flavors of macarons (strawberry and lemon) and vanilla iced sugar cookies that were iced absolutely perfect for a baby shower. They went above and beyond & our guests gave so many compliments to how tasty and cute everything was. Definitely don't hesitate to place an order, small or large, they won't disappoint!

I love the Black Twig Bakery. The staff was so helpful with the selection of my son’s graduation cake. The baker even spoke with me herself to make sure I was able to get exactly what I wanted. She even made sure that the cake topper that I ordered elsewhere was able to fit the cake and match the design we chose. The cake was moist and the flavors were exceptional. My son was very happy with his cake.

This bakery is by far one of the BEST bakeries in Milwaukee county. I have been coming here for years now and there is not one thing I have had here that I didn't like. Sugar cookies are heavenly, cake bars are actual BARS with just the right amount of cake instead of those two bite cake pops you buy at Starbucks, and their blondie bars are absolute heaven with perfectly melty chocolate chips and icing on top. Also, their chocolate chip cookies are the best I've had from any bakery...ever. My fiancé and I got to take their macaron class earlier this year too. The owners of the bakery lead that class and let you in on some of their macaron secrets. They're the best! If you haven't checked this place out, you NEED to!!!

We got a cake from here for a birthday, the flavors sounded incredible, and the presentation was great. However the cake was way too dry, it was hard to eat with a fork even. We ordered the cake on a Sunday and picked it up on a Wednesday. It seemed like the cake was made before we ordered it because of how dry it was. My wife and I were really bummed out.
