I am impressed by this establishment and its staff. They demonstrate a strong work ethic to provide the finest and freshest seafood at competitive prices, making it accessible for customers to purchase and enjoy. Additionally, they offer ice to complement your seafood selection. The staff are wonderful individuals who consistently exceed expectations. We regularly travel from Federal Way multiple times a month during the summer to visit them for exceptional seafood.

We visited 2025.08.12 and bought three dozen oysters and 2 lb of shrimp. The shrimp were small but fine. However the oysters were subpar. They don't allow refunds so we ended up with nearly two dozen inedible oysters. They were really milky and most of them had almost no brine. The lack of brine generally means they have been out of the water too long. But they were also really milky which means they were spawning. We basically wasted 60 bucks on oysters. My stepfather and I were reminiscing about why the old adage that says you don't eat oysters unless the month has an R in its name. The reason for this is because the oyster spawn during the summer and the flavor and texture is unpleasant. We're all hoping that we're right about that and not going to get sick. Nice little shop to get seafood. I was a little disappointed with the selection, even though I understand they are a small business with a select few customers. Still worth the visit.

We absolutely love Black Rock Seafood. Their smoked scallops are to-die-for. Razor clams are super tasty very reasonable price. The rock oysters were just okay. They were tasty though. We love it here in the service is fantastic. We went today and they weren't quite open yet, but the owner was nice enough to let us and we highly recommend this place.

Happy to finally make time to stop here. Friendly knowledgeable help with plenty of fresh seafood available. They can pack in ice so no real issues with making long haul road trip. Nice to get off the highway and support local biz. They don’t have public restrooms.
