Very good lunch expirence. The sword fish was delicious. Sauce paired perfectly. The fried rice and veggies was nicely done. Talk about a great lunch. The shrimp and grits were good as well. Nothing overpriced. For sure recommend. #yumcity

I cannot say enough great things about Black Pelican and the incredible service they provided for my private event. From the very beginning, their team went above and beyond to ensure every detail was thoughtfully executed. They were extremely helpful with coordinating the table layout, setting up and supporting the A/V equipment, and guiding us through a seamless menu selection process that perfectly fit our event. On the day of the event, everything ran smoothly and effortlessly thanks to their attentive, professional, and friendly staff. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully prepared and enjoyed by all of our guests, but the level of service truly took the experience to another level. Every request was handled with care, and the team made us feel supported from start to finish

We have lived in Chesapeake since 2018 and have not been in this restaurant until the other day. WOW!!! Food and service was top notch AAANNND it was affordable, too. Are you actually kidding?! The trifecta of any fantastic restaurants. It was so awesome that we came back the very next day with our kids and had even more great time. THANK YOU to Maria and our second server (I’m sorry, I forgot her name but she was just as big of an asset as any MVP employees) who made our experiences so lovely.

Entered the restaurant and was greeted with a smile. We had to wait due to being early for our party reservations. Went yo the bar to have drinks while we wait. When we were told that our table's ready, I stood up. We were trying to get the bar tender attention. When to manager that was standing there turned to us and said are you cashing out. I replied no, our table is ready. She said you have to cash out , let me get you bartender. That has never happened at any place before nor did I have a problem with cashing if its there policy. Its just the approach and the way it was addressed. Paided and took our own drinks to the table. Everything things else was great. I did ask our server the policy on the bar to table and explained the details. He said no you dont have to cash out unless

Tried Gulfstream Tuna Bites as an appetizer which came with Chips and salsa. I had medium cooked and it was juicy and very good. For main dish tried Baked Shrimp and Crab. It was crab meat and thank god I did not had to break the crabs. It was very creamy or cheesy. It was excellent taste with baked small shrimps. Sometimes overcooked shrimp will become rubbery like texture but it was perfectly cooked. Excellent taste and worth to try. This is definitely my go to dish when I visit again. I ordered French fries and Brussels sprouts. Roasted brussels sprouts, which was shredded and excellent taste. I may try this at home. All the items I tried were recommended by waitress and excellent choices. Waitress was very active and friendly. Atmosphere was also very good. Definitely must try out plac
