Customer Reviews
My husband and I were hungry and looking for a place to eat at 8:30pm. Nothing other than Bill's was open. Decided to check it out. They didn't even bat an eye when we asked if they were still cooking. Food and people were great! Owners and Debbie the bartender are very nice people.
October 2nd 7:30pm I notice there are no responses by the establishment to reviews, so I am directly demanding one even if it’s short. Obviously my girl and I were from out of town, the Bartender wouldn’t take our drink order because our drivers licenses were not horizontal facing, and because my girls license was from out of state. The Bartender said “it’s required to get a horizontal face license when you turn 21” I played dumb but long story short there is Zero requirement in the State of Iowa Law that says that, and she doesn’t know I am also a bartender. She claimed you guys recently got stung by the police, that does not mean you can deny all horizontal facing drivers licenses, if it was required by state law, license expiration dates would not exceed the holders 21st birthday. That
We stopped here on our way from Dubuque to Alabama and it was well worth the stop. Our waitress was fun and awesome, food was excellent (chili and Swiss mushroom burger) and the place was so cool looking. Glad we got off the beaten path to try it!
Was there for a get together with family at lunch time on a Saturday. Wasn't super busy as it was too early for Iowa football, but wow the food they cooked for us, after coming in late, was absolutely amazing. I had a breaded chicken sandwich with bacon, mushrooms, and Swiss cheese. The cheese was put on right before coming out so I didnt have high hopes, but I was completely wrong. When it was ordered didnt ask for the normal lettuce, tomato, mayo compliments and this sandwich didnt need it. This breaded chicken had a wonderful batter cooked perfectly and so amazingly moist inside. It didnt need anything special. My companion ordered a pork tenderloin sandwich and in true Iowa style it was larger than the bun, but this wasn't pounded down pork tenderloin, this had some decent thic
Just ordered A couple of shots of Tequila and a coffee .. I can say the shots were very reasonable. I've seen a pork tenderloin sandwich.Come from outback of the kitchen that looked delicious and was huge. I will have to come back and try the food looking at the menu.Their prices are very reasonable.
