Customer Reviews
I have come to this place a couple times now and I am always greeted with a smile the gentle men at the counter has always been friendly and kind very approachable he is even will to teach me a few words in Japanese. Made my night. My food is delicious and always hot and the presentation has been spot on. I have try other places in billings and this has been by far my favorite place. Recommendation is a must everyone should try it at least once. This is how I leave my plate every time I leave. So good.
Rating purely on the quality of the ramen, which was fantastic. The spicy ramen was truly spicy, with a big spoonful of the Gochujang spicy pepper paste indicative of Korean cooking on the lip of the bowl for extra spice if you wanted. We also got the tantanmen ramen, edamame, and the Hokkaido boba drink. The edamame was really fresh, both ramen noodles were delicious but the drink was too sweet and tasted mostly like condensed milk. 4 items for $48 with tips.
Food is great as the other location. Not a fan of heights Hokkaido as you order at the counter, seat yourself, serve yourself drinks and silverware, then buss your own table. Im surprised we didn't have to wipe down the table too. The prices are too high for fast food quality service and atmosphere. At least I don't have to leave a tip when I'm eating my McChicken.
Hokkaido Ramen in Billings offers an okay ramen experience. The flavor was great, but the dish wasn't as hot as expected, and it lacked the seaweed that was advertised. Service, however, was fast and friendly, and the cool atmosphere made for a pleasant dining experience.
My wife and I dine often at the Shiloh Hokkaido, so that is my reference point. I have rated the Shiloh Hokkaido to be 5 Stars, for many reasons. The food is excellent, spicy at a proper amount. Service is very good full service. Wine and beer are available. It has typical but modest restaurant seating. The Heights Hokkaido is totally different. TOTALLY. Food quality is poor. We had several items - Bozeman Roll, edamame, harumaki, gyoza. None were tasty, maybe the edamame. The interior is much like a fast food eatery. Orders are placed at the register. There is no beer or wine. But yet, the menu items were as expensive as that of the Shiloh location.
