Big Papi's - Real Good Tacos

Finally stopped by Big Papi’s Taco and can’t believe I waited this long. From the first bite, you can tell everything is made fresh and packed with bold, authentic flavor. Absolutely incredible food. The staff was genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back before you even leave. If you’ve been thinking about trying it, don’t wait. You’ll be glad you did. Definitely going back.

A WORK OF ART. The birria Pizza and birria tacos have me coming back again and again and again. The chipotle sauce is the pinnacle of saucy flavor. At other places, I am left wishing there was more meat. Here? There is no way they could even fit more meat in. It's perfect. The extra options like double tortilla? Also amazing. I came here today after not visiting for a few months (I dont live in Frederick) and the quality hasnt changed. It is extremely tough to visit Frederick without stopping through Big Papi's. I WILL NEVER EVER GO to Chipotle or Taco Bell again after trying this place. This place is a take-out style place. Order your stuff ahead on the website and then pick it up. They don't do inside seating. Not gonna lie though the name is a little wierd to me but after trying

To be totally transparent, the food is good, but I’m noticing overtime they have become lackluster with the portions. The nachos are $15. I do get the meat and other condiments on the side but the amount of nachos for $15 is slim. I reside in Frederick, Maryland, but to be honest if I felt like taking the ride, I would choose taco Bamba.

This used to be a go to for my husband and I. One of the only places we both loved. The last time we ordered they missed our to go order then when they went to make it only had enough to make one of the items because they ran out of shrimp. This time, I picked it up and got home to find they did not put the full order in the bag. The portion is small for what it is, literally 2.5 shrimp on one of the shrimp tacos. So sad a place we want to love has seemed to go downhill.

One of my favorite local taco shops that was known for its authentic delicious flavors and large portions. I always felt full after ordering a Taco Birria Combo, but left sorely dissapointed this time around. There was almost half as much meat in the tacos then the way it used to be. It's half as much as pictured in the menu as well. It still tasted amazing, but left me wanting more and slightly ripped off
