Big Mike’s Steakhouse Guntersville

Everyone gave me this big hype about needing to visit BIG MIKE’S restaurant located in Guntersville AL. You know my hubby and I are always up for a restaurant venture. It was a 38 minute drive and not too long. Though, it was not so much what I was expecting. Once, my hubby and I arrived. How so? I mean the scenery and food was good but lacked authenticity and quantity. We felt like Apple Bee’s and Logan’s Roadhouse got together and had a merging baby. My pros, cons, pics, and vids will illustrate. My server took forever to bring us our beverages and condiments. She kept apologizing, which was uncomfortable. Great time dining at Big Mike’s for a wonderful Valentine dinner. Don’t know any way our experience could have been any better. Wait staff, food arrival time, table location and all else was perfection. I had the pork chop and it was very tender and tasted incredible. Husband had the Cowboy chicken. He said it along with the fries were superb. Will for sure be back.

Big Mike's Ribeye 24 oz was seasoned and cooked perfectly! Catfish and Sirloin steak were a big hit was well! Don't forget to order the mushrooms and mozzarella wedges. Yum! Didn't get pictures of the food. Only a picture outside as well waited for our table.

Not a bad place, atmosphere good. A little overrated on the food. I got the massive teriyaki chicken breast which was $27. Chicken was not tender and the sauce tasted very watered down. Not what I expected for $27. Baked potato was good. Salad ok. Server was very friendly. I would possibly give it another try, just didn't have that wow factor.

Our waitress was exceptional and the wait was quite reasonable despite how busy it was. Unfortunately that’s where the positives ended. The first steak I ordered came out medium well despite having ordered medium rare. These things happen though so I handled it gracefully and politely asked for a replacement. The second came out almost spitefully rare, as seen in the photos. I showed my waitress and tried to respectfully convey that this was almost raw. She then grabbed her manager whom I showed the steak and his response was “that looks a bit on the rare side” and offered to remake it which would have been fine had we not already had to wait on a second steak. I asked if I could get a discount since the steak was not at all appetizing or what I’d ordered and he proceeded to give me a 20%
