Great Pit Stop! Great hearty food after a day fishing the pool! Fresh berry milkshakes, juicy burgers and good seafood! Jim’s has been in business since 1966 and it’s no wonder why. When driving through the Dalles, this is a must stop. We were towing a trailer and found parking right out front. Took the dog out to stretch his legs on the grass! Thank you Jim! I’ll be bringing my crew in the next time we pass through!

Great place! I know it's old timer authenticate place when I walk in and I see 8 people in the 60s+. The cashier knew how to my the burger of my design at a cheaper cost! The fries are fantastic, crispy golden edges, unlike most big name fast food. The burger (double deluxe with bacon) was a large burger like they used to be, actually filling. Freaking fantabulous!! The shake (dark chocolate) tasted like a creamy doves dark chocolate bar. Another freaking fantabulous item!! Will definitely be coming back.

I have been hearing about Big Jim’s for years and finally got the opportunity to try it. I want to get the normal burger as it was made and was under impressed. I didn’t realize you needed to order onions or pickles. So basically I got a pretty plain burger without a lot of taste. And if you eat outside, you get the wonderful smell of the mechanic next-door. But the fries are delicious and they have a great number of shakes and ice cream to try.

Juicy, flavorful, and perfectly grilled! The caramelized onions added the right touch of sweetness, and the soft bun made every bite melt together. Definitely one of the best burgers I’ve had in a while!

I really liked the old-time diner vibes of this place! Sometimes you just need a good greasy cheeseburger and fries, and Big Jim's did not disappoint. I had the deluxe cheeseburger combo. The burger was cooked perfectly and the fries were hot and crispy. The staff were also very friendly. We came in around 8:30 and by the looks of things, they must have just gone through a busy dinner rush. It wasn't long after we sat down however that an employee started wiping tables down and cleaning up. We come through The Dalles a lot, and we'll be sure to come back, especially to try the ice cream next time!
