Big Island Burrito

Decent Hard/Soft Shell Tacos. The taco meat however wasn't the greatest. Our server was upbeat so that kept it in the positive. Probably won't go back though.

I visited recently and decided on the three chicken tacos, shown on my receipt as the “Tiki Tacos”. It was a weekday so I went at 1pm to beat the lunch rush hour but it was still pretty busy. The tacos took a while but they were quite tasty. There was a basket of several different sauces brought out as well which was pretty neat. The tacos were very good and my total cost for just the three tacos was $14.24, which comes out to about $4.74 a taco. I would probably go again if invited by a friend as I really had no complaints.

I feel bad writing a bad review when we had good service somewhere. But the food was incredibly disappointing. My partner and I are from the Midwest and while we are two regular foodies with a fairly diverse palate, its not uncommon for Midwesterners to joke about the bland food you would might easily find where we are from. Maybe thats why this burrito joint was so shockingly disappointing. We have spent the last two and a half weeks in Melbourne and this is by far the absolute most dissapointing meal we have eaten in the area. We spent nearly $60 on 2 burritos and a side of chips and salsa. The chips and salsa were almost $8 and they seemed like they were literally tostitos and jarred salsa. Great spot, to fill you up with their huge burritos, many combinations, and my favorite, the plethora of hot sauces to top them all. The burritos and sauces to top, are pretty fresh and always tasty. BIB is clean, with friendly and attentive staff that are quick and always helpful. May 2023

BiB is a pretty basic place, no frills, but comfortable and friendly. Love the burritos here and they have a good selection of choices. Highly recommend.
