I was meeting a friend for breakfast and looking for somewhere to go in the area. After utilizing the Yelp search tool to be my personal guide to the restaurants Powder Springs, I decided to head over to Hiram to try out Big Doug’s. After seeing the pictures of everyone else’s food I had to go. Big Doug’s was super easy to find and the parking was easily accessible (even after I missed the first turn in). Once parked, we headed inside and were met with a smiling car who welcomed us into Big Doug’s, confirmed our party size (2), and immediately took us to our booth. First off… kudos on the stellar service. I’m talking top tier welcome, pleasant greetings, and a warm closing. The young lady was AMAZING! As I headed to my booth I was captivated by the size of Big Doug’s as this place is huge
Beautiful atmosphere for lunch with friends. Chicken livers were really good. Greens are flavored with sugar, which I don't care for, but the other veggies were really good. It a good family environment place to eat.
The food was top tier quality country cooking. The server was incredibly helpful with directing me to some great choices. Very beautiful interior and a super clean restaurant. Very impressed with this location.
BIG DOUG's Place is hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a long time. The moment you walk in, the atmosphere takes you back to a simpler time with antique signs, rustic décor, deer mounts, and old wagon wheels that give it a warm, country feel that just makes you smile. The service is wonderful. The waitresses are polite, friendly, and make you feel right at home the minute you sit down. And the food… it is absolutely delicious. The portions are generous and homemade, just like the kind of cooking you remember from your mom’s or grandmother’s kitchen. Every bite feels like good old-fashioned comfort food made with love. What really makes this place special are the owners, Mark and Pam Sullins. They are some of the most genuine, down-to-earth folks you’ll ever meet. They t
Beautiful restaurant with interesting decor. Service was friendly, we had no wait for breakfast, and did not wait long for food. Food was good but nothing felt stand-out. Biscuits had a crisp exterior and fluffy interior. Sausage patty was flavorful. Gravy and grits were standard. Eggs were an interesting texture. Although I would be open to coming back it is not at the top of my list.
