Steak was thick and tender, but it had no flavor. I noticed a lot of older people inside the restaurant when I picked up my food, so maybe they cater their seasoning towards their taste palette. Also ordered breakfast (white chocolate pancakes, eggs, sausage, and bacon), which was great. I only gave 3 stars because of the bland steak.

Stopped in while on the road to grab a quick bite. Staff is very kind and professional, and the food is a touch salty but delicious nonetheless. Ordered the prime rib to split and for the price, the flavor, size, and quality were pleasantly surprising.

I had an excellent dinner at The Big Apple Restaurant in Peru, IL and it was worth the drive! I ordered a large broiled ribeye cooked medium with mushrooms, and it was perfect — juicy, tender, and seasoned exactly right. Easily one of the best ribeyes I’ve had anywhere. The fresh Greek salad was a meal by itself — loaded with fresh onion, green peppers, tomato, egg, olives, and feta as though it came right from a Greek kitchen. The baked potato was hot and fluffy with butter and sour cream, and the three onion rings were big, crispy, and delicious. Even with just water to drink, the whole meal came together beautifully. My whole family and I went, and everyone loved their meals, but I have to specifically rave about the lasagna. I had the steak at Big Apple Restaurant and it was absolutely perfect. Tender, flavorful, and cooked exactly how I asked. The service was fast and friendly, and the whole place has a welcoming vibe. Definitely one of the best meals I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend!
