Bienvenue Mon Ami Bed & Breakfast

Our stay at Bienvenue Mon Ami Bed & Breakfast in Amite was absolutely wonderful. The food alone is worth the visit — every breakfast was delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and felt like a true homemade Southern experience. The service was exceptional, with hosts who were warm, welcoming, and attentive without ever being intrusive. The rooms were extremely comfortable, beautifully maintained, and made it easy to relax and feel at home. One of my favorite parts of the stay was the private, peaceful porch — the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the quiet surroundings. The grounds are also lovely, well-kept, and add to the charm and tranquility of the property. If you’re looking for a relaxing, comfortable, and genuinely charming place to stay in Amite, I highly recommend Bienvenue Mon Ami. I

Spent two nights at Bienvenue Mon Ami. Jeff and Laura are gracious hosts. I think Gordon Ramsay should hire Laura; her food is amazing! Everything is fresh. Since we were last there in 2020, Jeff has added some great lighting around the pond, including a really cool shadow lattice effect on the swing. The game room is so much fun and there's plenty of land to walk around on. The rooms are second to none. All the decoration is well thought out and details are all over the place. I spent quite some time just looking around. Definitely somewhere I could spend an entire, peaceful week. I don't want to leave out the art gallery pieces all over. It's a great place to get away from the hectic pace of daily life and recharge.

I visited Bienvenue Mon Ami for a friend's wedding in Amite City. I searched for lodging other than a Comfort Inn. Jeff and Laura's home became MY home for 3 days and nights. The home made me feel like I was in Germany or France. The building was beautifully appointed and well thought out as a Bed and Breakfast. My conversations with Jeff and Laura over gourmet breakfasts (crepes, omlets, fruit and specialty coffee and tea drinks) was fun and carefree while we talked about our travels in cities and on farms. I walked the 30 acre property each day for exercise and spotted the most beautiful wild life among the lake and tree lined areas. I will DEFINITELY visit again. The location was not hard to find with the directions. The atmosphere was perfect--very peaceful and chill, very little to no noise. The rooms were super clean and well-kept with pretty much every amentity you should need. The value was great--we received breakfast and an evening snack every day, that was prepared with our specific intolerances and preferences (lactose intolerance, and no pork) that Laura kindly confirmed prior to our stay. Our room and the enter premises was very clean and well-kept, no complaints at all. Our host were very kind and welcoming, which was the icing on thr cake. We plan to visit again as soon as possible.

We couldn’t have chosen a more perfect place to celebrate our second anniversary. From the moment we arrived, everything felt warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully prepared. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special—every interaction was genuine, attentive, and never intrusive. Our room was spotless and beautifully set up, with small touches that made the experience feel personalized and romantic. The ambiance was peaceful, the views were stunning, and the atmosphere made it incredibly easy to relax and reconnect. Every detail—from the cozy décor to the delicious breakfast—showed how much care goes into creating an exceptional guest experience.
