Delicious!! Portion size is good. Atmosphere is good. Service is good. Location is good. Presentation is good. We had an amazing experience with breakfast at Betty Gene's. Chicken & waffles (one with potatoes). Cheese grits, bacon, eggs, biscuits with fried okra. Orange juice to drink. 10/10. If you're in the Madison, Ga area, give Betty Gene's a try. S/n....I had to ask the waitress to clean my seat from the previous diner. Besides that mishap, we had a pleasant breakfast.
The food was really great, a beautiful atmosphere, and a fantastic server. Visiting Madison, Georgia, and just stop for dining. 5 🌟 $$
We had a wonderful experience at Betty Gene's beginning with a kind greeter at the door who seated us within seconds followed by a polite server who was very attentive. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxed. Many thanks to all!
Stop by for breakfast every time we visit Madison. The quality of their food is consistently good, one of my favs is the Classic Breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon and wheat toast, yummy stuff! The grits are off the chain as well, especially if you crumble some of the crispy bacon in there too! The service is excellent and the atmosphere is really good as well. We’ve never left the restaurant without the manager telling us thanks for stopping by and to have a good day, I remember stuff like that, makes a lasting impression. “Unfortunately this location was burned down, the newer photos are of the alternate location just down the street. Good luck with the rebuild, looking forward to your returning to the original site!”
The quality and preparation of the food was disappointing. It took quite a long time for the food to come out, and eggs were way too runny. They made fresh eggs but the second one has shell in it. A southern staple like biscuits and sausage gravy should be great, but the biscuits tasted like canned biscuits that were dried out, and the sausage gravy bland. The grits were good. Out server was fantastic. I would suggest made from scratch biscuits and better gravy, more careful preparation in the kitchen with eggs. Sorry, won't be back.
