Benihana - Bethesda

I had a great experience at Benihana thanks to our server Jabari and Chef Mauro. Jabari was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the meal. Chef Mauro put on an amazing show at the grill and the food was delicious. The fried rice was especially good, and I also loved the miso soup and the green tea ice cream to finish the meal. Everything was flavorful and perfectly prepared. Overall, such a fun dining experience with excellent service. Huge thanks to Jabari and Chef Mauro for making the night memorable!

Dinner and a show! The staff were professional and accommodating. The chef put on a great show that kept the kids and adults entertained! My daughter absolutely loved the onion volcano. The food was amazing... the only gripe about the food was the chicken was a bit tough, but it was still edible. Everything else was excellent! Definitely would recommend the filet mignon medium rare, went well with the yummy sauce! The bathroom was relatively clean. I did have an issue with four young boys (9-13 years old) that were kicking the stall doors and peeping under the partitions. This was concerning since my young daughter was the one in the stall. (Yes I did speak with the parents and resolved the issue.) This is a one off event but doesn't represent any issues with the establishment itself.

Never any parking spots available, Slow service, dirty plates and utensils, my soup spoon came with someone else's lipstick on it and I didn't see until I first ate some. Server messed up most of the drink orders and had to keep coming back. Plates were dirty at the table too. I've been eating at Benihanas for over 25 years and have been to atleast 8 different ones in multiple states. this is mediocre at best. I ordered steak medium and it was ice cold in the middle. The cook tried to put the one I chewed on back on the stove with everyone else's food. We asked for one mustard sauce and got 3 overflowing dishes and the server nearly spilled them on us. Hi everyone, this has been my second time going to Benihana and both times were enjoyable. Today was exceptional as I was spending time with my grandmother for the All Day Happy Hour. We came as soon as they opened and were greeted nicely from the host but the bartender Sergio was amazing. His drink making skills are to perfection and he extended hospitality towards my grandmother and I checking back with us any chance he could get. The food was amazing as well, left us full and eager to come again. This was an amazing experience and I cannot wait to be back. Sergio, you are an amazing person overall and I wish this place all the success. A dinner and show performed by our iron chef, Kathrin. She did a very great job. She cleaned the stove, and then she started cooking the food. It was like watching a painter painting a canvas or a musician playing an instrument. You have to admire the ironclad determination and skill. She cooked our steak, rice, shrimp, and vegetables by dancing with the flames. Everything was nicely cooked. She did it all by doing tricks with a smile. It was my first but not my last. My mom and I had a blast. I give it two blazing thumbs up!!
