Benihana - Beaverton

Second time coming here and loved it! Celebrated my father’s birthday and we loved the food. We did have to wait a bit even after putting in a reservation so expect a wait time before being seated but while waiting you can get some drinks at the bar. Love the show they provide when cooking your food and more than enough food you receive when you go in for the full hibachi experience.

Benihana, what happened to you? we used to go several times a year. Then moved further away and decided to make the 1.5 hour drive to get there. Called to make a reservation then was told to make it online. OK, so we did. Arrived 15 minutes before our reservation and then was told was running 20 minutes behind. an hour later I check in a said we were next. During this time I overheard people commenting about their wait and what time their reservation was (which happened to even be later reservation time) get seated before us. Finally when we were seating it was over an hour and a half after reservation time to even get salad. the chef came out another 20+ minutes later. so here we are 2 hours after reservation the chef finally starts cooking. Benihana never disappoints! The food was absolutely delicious — everything was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and fresh. The atmosphere was lively and fun, making it a great dining experience from start to finish. Special thank you to Rob, our chef, who made the evening truly memorable! His energy, skill, and personality brought so much joy to the table. He kept everyone entertained while preparing our meals with precision and care. You can tell he really enjoys what he does, and it shows in both the presentation and the taste. Highly recommend dining here if you’re looking for great food, amazing service, and an unforgettable experience!

The food is always amazing. We had a reservation but had to wait quite a bit until we were seated. Service was good but it took a while before things got started. Our cook was ok. He dropped the utensils a few times and didn't do many tricks like the others which was alright. I went for my birthday and was really craving that special Benihana taste and it was wonderful to have it again. One thing we noticed was the temperature in the room was really cold. I kept my sweater on the whole time. Even though we sat next to the hot plate, we were freezing. They must have really cranked up the A/C.

Chef Lester at Benihana is hands down my favorite Benihana chef of all time — the absolute GOAT and the best cook ever. From the moment he started at the grill, the energy was unmatched. The tricks? Flawless. The timing? Perfect. The vibes? Elite. Not only was the food cooked to perfection (literally the best I’ve ever had there), but he made the whole table laugh and turned dinner into a full-on experience. You can tell he actually loves what he does, and it shows in every flip, flame, and perfectly seasoned bite. If you get Chef Lester, just know you won the Benihana lottery. 10/10 every single time. WE NEED MORE LESTER !! Ask for him !!!!!!!!!
