Benicia Public Library

This library has a great lineup of community programs for kids and adults, including 3 different book clubs, videogame tournaments and boardgame nights, talks, ESL help, and so much more. We went the other night to watch pro wrestling! It also has a great selection of books and things to borrow. My one complaint is the horrid internet service, but I've only tried to combat that once. They do have computers available that connect just fine.

Kids section is great, I loved the seating for parents by the window to let their kids be free. Very nicely organized too. They even have computers at a low height for the littles, which I've never seen before.

Amazing library! Never seen a library that you can borrow backpack, tents , broad game and weird equipments! And the view looking out is awesome!

This library has soo much potential. I have been coming here on and off for the past two years while in grad school. The only thing I really hate is the wifi. It is horrible. Very slow and always stops working randomly. With it being such a big library and people coming in, they do events all the time, etc. they really need to fix the wifi issue. I have gone to Napa and also American Canyon and their wifi is amazing, very fast always get full bars. Here I am lucky if I get two bars.

Benicia Public Library represents the best of all the libraries I've ever loved, featuring a diverse selection of newer and older titles, carefully curated to appeal equally to casually browsing generalists and nerdy, fixated specialists. I love the layout of the library and how it is spacious yet always clean. I love how the programming reflects the interests of the community and features exciting guests representing a wide array of subjects, from astronomy to social justice. The staff has always been incredibly helpful and generous with their time and attention. They take a lot of care in developing kids programming that benefits the participants and sets them up to be lifelong readers and learners. The building is simultaneously
