Majestic Cafe

I needed an afternoon pick me up and one of the locals directed me to this lovely little café. House brewed coffee was perfect as was the kouign- amann. WOW! I will definitely be stopping by here next time I’m in Benicia.

The pastries and toast are great; I try something different every time. I love their beverage choices and my favorite has become the golden latte. It’s a great spot to meet a friend and chat or to sit and read or study. Highly recommend!

This place is a staple of Benicia. Great vibes and essential for the community. Employees are all awesome! Only improvement would be if management would teach how to make a cortado. Occasionally, an employee does it right. For some reason most Bay Area cafes struggle with this. A cortado is a Spanish espresso drink dating back hundreds of years. Its not a Gibraltar(blue bottles fault for starting this bs). Equal parts espresso/ milk. The espresso should not be watered down. A 4-6oz cup should be enough. Quarters on Mare Island get it right. Journey in Fairfax, close enough - though they call it a Gibralter. Starbucks, as last resort, is now also doing them correctly - so there is no excuse anymore, its mainstream. What a great coffee shop! The staff was so friendly and genuinely made me feel like they appreciated my business. It was very clean and I enjoyed seeing the pictures of Benicia back in the day. I would definitely recommend Majestic Café.
