Belleville Area District Library

Great place to study and use WiFi to get work done. You can also reserve a private office room for doing work alone from distractions. Really nice! Helps a lot. Definitely my favorite place Beautiful building next to The Lake with roof access view open in warmer weather. Tons of floors and parking is good. Busy on weekends. But open from 9a-9p is amazing. I love coming here, will continue cause just grabbed a card. Nice friendly staff Thank you very much!

Staff is always nice and helpful, and the place is always very clean and organized! Not to mention you can see the turtle “tortellini” in the kids area. I did the adult summer reading program here and have been to multiple other events here. The Belleville area district library does not disappoint

I'm very disappointed in the staff. They did not adhere to Library policy which clearly states, under patron behavior that "food and beverages are permitted in designated areas." Three 14-year-old girls purchased pizza and was told that they had to go outside and eat. It was very snowy, windy and cold resulting in school cancellations the following morning. They stepped into the breezeway to quickly and quietly eat the pizza and we're told again they needed to go outside and eat the pizza. I can't believe that no one guided them to a designated area or even showed an ounce of compassion.

Love this library! We've been to many libraries in the metro Detroit area before we moved to this side of town. I think this library may be our very favorite just based on the friendliness of the staff alone. Other libraries have newer facilities or bigger locations or bigger parking lots or more programming, but the people here really seem to love their jobs and this library just feels so comfy and like home. There is a lot of used books for sale, and frequent programs for kids and adults. This seems to be a local center for this town. The kids area has computers and some toys for little ones to play with too. Overall we love it! Parking lot is small but there is extra parking on the slow side street and in the municipal lot across the little side street, a short walk. Handicap acc

My kids and I love this library. The kids area has a new pet. ❤️ a baby tortoise. It's adorable. The library has a gardening program where you can rent tools to garden, cook ware for baking, and a lot of other unique features. Just signed my children up for their summer reading program.
