Bella Sera Italian Restaurant Llano,TX

This is a very nice family or special occasion restaurant, freshly remodeled in January 2025. According to the manager, it has been open for six months, and is one of nine Bella Sera restaurants in the central Hill Country. We visited at 1200 noon, and were one of three other customers. There are approximately twenty tables situated for relative privacy and comfort, including several intimate situations, and a long table which might seat up to twenty. Tables are tastefully prepared, napkins nicely folded with matching tableware. The appointments of the room are tasteful, with wine bottles, oil paintings, and artful display pieces to successfully bring about the atmosphere of a traditional small Italian restaurant. Bella Sera may not look like much on the outside, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying this hidden gem. I ordered the bruschetta balsamico, pasta fagioli and ziti pomodoro. It was all so much better than I was expecting, especially the bruschetta and soup. Also came with warm bread. Husband had pizza Bella sera and said it was good. Definitely a place to consider if you’re visiting the area.

Bella Sera was excellent from start to finish. I ordered the shrimp Alfredo and it was absolutely amazing—perfectly cooked shrimp, rich and flavorful sauce, and great portions. The food came out fresh and tasted incredible. On top of that, the customer service was outstanding. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. You can tell they really care about their guests. I’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend Bella Sera to anyone looking for great food and great service.

What can I say good about the food except it was edible. Extremely disappointed for the price. The wine was delicious and sweet tea tastes like sweet dirty water, and the waitress was excellent. The food was dull and lifeless. Started with the calamari since it said fresh. Well, it is not fresh, and was tough., rubbery, as well as over salty. The side salad was just that, a side salad boring. The bread I requested was tough. And if it was garlic bread then it was missing the garlic and butteriness I was expecting for this place. I ordered the Shrimp Florentine, which came hot, but it was flavorless. Shrimp was so tough and obviously overcooked. Where is the pasta? Oh it's covered by way too much sauce. I won't be coming back to this place during my frequent visits. Sorry, not sorry!

It finally happened!! I found an actual Margherita pizza that tastes like it SHOULD! It comes with red sauce but I requested the oil base instead, which is what they do in Italy. It was amazing! Will not be ordering Margherita pizza from anywhere else in town again. I also spent a lot of time speaking with the owner. He is a very friendly guy and I could hear his passion for his restaurant in the way he talks about it. I can, without a doubt, say, that if something is not to your liking or is messed up, they will make it right. I see these other reviews on here and I bet they didn’t bring it up to anyone before writing a review. My daughter ordered the cheese ravioli and when she realized there were 3 GIANT raviolis in there instead of a bunch of little ones, she was excited. They tasted
