Bella Gina's Italian Deli

Food is excellent, the fuggataboutit is my favorite and a tremendous sandwich! Fresh mozz, prosciutto and roasted red with balsamic on a great seeded roll - excellent! The people who work here are all great also. Would definitely recommend!

Order here all the time. Usually pick up my order. This time I asked if they deliver and they said yes. Recieved my order and realized I was charged a ridiculous and undisclosed $10 fee for delivery… $10 for a 2 minute drive… had I known I’d have picked my order up. Will never order here again. Cheaper to order with DoorDash somewhere else. That’s the most insane delivery fee I’ve ever seen anywhere.

Located at the Blockbuster Plaza off of St. Georges Avenue in Linden, this establishment is literally a hidden gem. Named after the owner’s wife, I have been coming to Bella Gina’s for many years, where the owner, Anthony, greeted us upon entering today and recognized me by name. Being an old-school Italian deli, my go-to sandwich is called Mama’s Delight, consisting of fresh mozzarella made in house, tomatoes, and pesto on a hard Italian bread cut into two. One of my colleagues accompanied me, and being a first-timer, she got the prosciutto, mozzarella, and roasted peppers on hard Italian bread. Both orders came with homemade potato chips. Had not been here in so many years, I forgot where they were located and today I stumbled upon it. Immediately I went in and ordered the usual anything on their focaccia bread did not fail delicious and fresh like in the past. Love the fact that they will be moving closer to home.

Excellent sales and counter help. On 10-4-19 I went and needed help selecting a pasta for a new recipe. They did not have the small shells but were able to reccommend another pasta that would work with the recipe. The inside of the store is very clean and well lit.
