Bella Ella Bed and Breakfast

The Bella in general is a really cute place. Nothing fancy, but comfortable. And it was immaculate ! We had the economy room. Only one side of the bed is accessible, so one person has to move to let the other out. The bathroom is in the corridor, which we didn’t know until the day before arrival when the host called us. We have stayed all over the world, and so do have places to compare to. We would recommend it, but you have to be able to overlook the small inconveniences. 😊

This review isn't meant to bitch about our stay. This is what we witnessed, also it's our opinion obviously you'll have your own. We've stayed at many BB's so we're not new to the concept. ||First, the room was large and quiet, hardly any traffic noise. The bedding, NOT hotel quality, just a standard mattress ( I actually thought about going into town to buy a foam pad) very hard !! but I did like the canopy frame.|| Lighting was dim maybe to hide the cobwebs, not sure? If you're like us and enjoy watching TV, you may be disappointed. The TV is very small, maybe 30inchs with antenna only, no streaming options. This is a lovely home with only two rooms to let. We stayed in the coastal-themed Chesapeake Room, which is small, with a private but detached bathroom only steps away across the common hallway. Some may not consider this an ideal B&B experience, but is was advertised as such, and we've previously stayed at places with a similar layout, so we understood what to expect and had no issues. If you must have an ensuite, reserve the other, larger room. Our priority was to save some money during our two night stay in Canandaigua, so the less expensive Chesapeake Room was more than adequate, with a comfortable full bed. We had the most wonderful stay at the Bella Ella Bed and Breakfast! I stayed in Ella’s room and relaxed in the luxurious jacuzzi tub after a long day of hiking. Breakfast every morning was delicious and each day was something different and exciting. Jeri Lou was the perfect host giving us space to do our thing but being very responsive and attentive when needed. She also helped us with recommendations for local things to do and places to eat. I would absolutely stay here again and will recommend to friends!

This B&B was great. The location is good, the staff were very attentive and the breakfast was amazing. I wish we could have stopped by during warmer weather. I’d recommend these folks for sure. They made us feel welcome. The room was full of antiques and was a great way to immerse yourself in the past.
