Begging Burro Mexican Bistro

Came here on the night of 4th July and we were able to get a table for a family of 4 straight away. The warm, vibrant, relaxed and open feel was immediately noticeable. Service was excellent and quick. We enjoyed our shrimp tacos and pork burrito although it felt like there wasn’t that usual touch of fresh and sassy flavor I associate with Mexican food. It almost verged into the realm of being plain. The burrito flavor was subtle yet presented in a nuanced manner. The tacos and rice looked very vibrant. The missus loved her cocktail and the Mexican craft beers were spot on! Overall, a great place to dine for everyone. If I returned I would probably go for one of the specials to see if I could give my taste buds that “wow”factor!

My family of 7 totally enjoyed our dinner here while on vacation. Not cheap, but a good time together! The tacos were good, especially the asada and pastor, and the accompanying charro beans were awesome! Kids had enchiladas which were good, although not jaw-dropping. The margarita we had was also good. Hector our server was amazing - great service with great interaction.

The food was great, drinks were great, the servers were nice, and the kitchen was fast. Both salsas were very good, chips and salsa came free when we sat down. The hibiscus marg was tasty. The chicken burrito was good topped with queso. Our server Jose was very friendly and provided great service. I would come back again if I came back to Custer. Thank you!

We came because some friends recently shared they had lunch here. It is really good food & excellent margaritas. We had chicken enchiladas and avocado tacos.

Everyone was so nice! And not in a salesman kind of way, just genuine nice. And the food was delicious!!! I got the steak fajitas and they were some of the best I have ever had.
