Beautiful Northwoods Getaway

If I could give more stars I would. First…the hospitality is A-1!!!! I’m a picky person but the couple here treat you better than family. Very knowledgeable about local events, and attractions. Second the house is phenomenal. We will definitely return!!!

We recently stayed at beautiful northwoods getaway to visit grandchildren at summer camp. It is a hidden gem. We stayed in a lakeview bedroom and heard the loons at night. This place was amazing with many handcrafted wooden pieces. The owners made us feel at home. I really wanted to stay longer than the 2 nights we had booked. It was a wonderful breakfast that we could help ourselves to. I wanted to write a review about this BnB but at the same time I wanted to keep hidden this gem to ourselves. I plan on returning next year for my grandchildren ‘s visitor’s day

This home is remarkable. It’s like the Ritz Carlton and a five star lodge in Aspen had a baby. We were in awe of the grandeur of the ceilings, architecture, beautiful and stylish interior, and spectacular views overlooking the lake. The hosts were welcoming, helpful, accommodating, attentive and made us feel right at home. Breakfast was warm, healthy and filling. WiFi was perfect. We saw deer in the mornings and enjoyed cocktails by the fire at night. We will be back!

Omgosh, where do I start? The service was lovely. The caretakers are very generous, wonderful, interesting people. They were so flexible, and the place is so incredibly unique and beautiful. However, the cleanliness left a little bit to be desired (just dust and dirt, no real grime or anything gross like that; you should know I am a Felix Unger type neat-freak) and there were such strong odors of...substances...in the air in the morning after we awoke (it was just us, the caretakers, and some friends of theirs that weekend) that my husband had a severe asthma attack. How much those things bother you is totally a matter of personal preference. If you take away a little dust and smell that opening a door whooshed way, this is DEFINITELY a five star stay that we would love to visit again a

Beautiful house, gorgeous little lake, good breakfast, perfect location. Iftikhar and Heather are very friendly and accommodating. There are a couple of very minor maintenance issues, like a couple of windows that were a little difficult to close, but it sounded like they had purchased the property fairly recently and were working on maintenance.
