Beach Access Nr Sheraton

This was the first beach we checked out in Kauai and it wasn’t our favorite, we much preferred Poipu Beach. There were a few reasons. First, parking was really hard to find at the Sheraton, or at least free parking! We got lucky and found a spot in the free lot at the end, right there at the beach entrance. And we additionally found one of the only shady spots that a palm tree was covering. It’s also coincidentally right next to the little shower so we could not have found a better spot. But as you will see in the video, the sea was a bit rough. I kept getting hit on my ankles with rocks that were being tossed ashore and it was quite painful! We have loved this coastline lately.. great swimming access on east side, beautiful sunset views from all directions, it's got golf course like perfect grass to run and play on, a field of flattened black lava to stroll on, and a long winding cement walk through the beautiful Sheraton grounds edge, lots of parking..what else could you ask for? one of our favorites!

The swells are big, the waves are high and it's all beautiful. Poipu beaches are closed. Small sections of the roads are washing away. Stay safe here!!!

Chill, spacious beach with street parking that’s usually not too tricky (easier if you come earlier in the day in the day). Long sandy stretch of beach to play on, perfect for walking, laying out, or watching people swim and surf 🏄🏻‍♀️ Very peaceful and easy to access - definitely worth a visit!
