BB's Hot Spot at The Lantern Bar

I've been waiting to try this spot for a while as I've seen it go from a food truck to a restaurant...I was let down horrifically ...55 bux for 2 oxtail dinners with coconut rice and beans and collared greens...no coconut flavor, undercooked hard rice and approx 6...maybe 7 beans in the portion...greens were mush and had zero flavor, not even salt and the oxtail was all bone and Grissle 25 dollars for 6 bites of unrendered fatty meat...I wish them the best but we will not be returning ...hard pass...they should take the name lantern down

Back in the area again for work, so of course I had to stop at BB's. This time I had a Dark and Stormy to drink and the Curried Goat with red beans & rice and cabbage. All of the staff was super sweet. I can't wait for my next trip to the area.

I ordered a beef patty with cocoa bread and curry goat. The beef patty was most likely just a grilled, frozen one. The curry goat and rice and pea was decent. The cabbage was too salty to eat. The service was great and it was set up nice in there. It was very hot out, and there was no air conditioning or fan. The food definitely gave me some stomach issues. If the food was better, I would go back.

It’s a shame that’s they sent this food out for consumption. This was a take out order the beef patty was deep fried and had a rancid taste and the plantains had the same flavor. We have support this business as they moved but enough is enough. I don’t need a refund or free beef patty i need you to make sure the food you are serving is edible. Can’t believe they sent this out..

I went there for the first time and ordered the oxtail, Mac & cheese and white rice. The Mac & Cheese was a little dry, needed a little salt but good. The rice was cooked well. The oxtails were good. The gravy was good, not too meaty. Would I eat there again? ...yes. looking forward to trying something different. They have various Caribbean drinks, colas and TING! I LOVE TING!
