bb.q Chicken Niles

I was really excited to try bb.q Chicken in Niles, since Korean fried chicken is one of my all-time favorite comfort foods, but unfortunately my experience here was a big letdown. To be fair, the chicken itself was actually pretty good. It came out hot, crispy, and flavorful, with that satisfying crunch you expect from Korean style fried chicken. If I were judging this place on the chicken alone, it would easily deserve a higher rating. The problem, however, is everything else. The very first thing you notice when you walk in is the awful smell that lingers throughout the restaurant. It honestly smelled like sewage, and it was so strong that it made me want to vomit. Definitely our new favorite spot for Korean fried chicken! The restaurant is very clean with a chill vibe and the service was attentive and friendly. We ordered honey garlic wings and galbi wings. The galbi wings were good, but the honey garlic wings were next level. We both agreed that they were the best wings we've ever had and we've been to several Korean fried chicken places. We appreciate that this place actually serves sauces that are truly mild/no spice since some other bigger establishments in the area are very spicy even if ordering mild. The chicken was juicy and the breading had the addicting crispiness that Korean fried chicken should have. The fries are also very good and are pretty much like straightened out curly fries. Can't wait to visit again!

7/31/2025 We love the Niles location! Always such a pleasure to pickup the order. Food is always fresh and tastes exactly as it should! 7/17/2023 Dine in today and had the sweetest waitress. They make the chicken fresh so for a larger order it is about 30 mins wait. But sooooooo worth it. Our favs are the Gangjeong wings and Gangnam wings. The first ones are sweet and spicy and the second is peppery and spicy. Both are amazing with the house daikon to cleanse the palate. We also ordered the rose ddekk- bokki rice cakes . So yum. Do remember to ask for gloves to eat the wings 2022 Gotta eat them fresh n’ hot. The sauce on the chicken was not completely even but the taste was superb. The crisp shell lasted couple of hours with the crunch. Definitely game day must have!

The taste of the chicken is just like what I used to have in Korea. The tteokbokki and kimchi fried rice were also delicious. This is some of the best chicken you can find in Chicago and the surrounding area. What impressed me the most was the outstanding service from the female manager. She was incredibly friendly and professional, which made the entire experience enjoyable.

As a Korean, I can confidently say that this is the best Korean-style BBQ chicken spot in Chicago. The food truly captures the authentic flavors that remind me of home. The service was awesome and the staff were incredibly friendly. I was also impressed by women's restroom - such a cute and cozy interior, and they even had an adorable humidifier. Overall, a fantastic experience that I highly recommend.
