Absolutely phenomenal food and now my favorite Indian restaurant. This place opened a few months ago. It's decorated so tastefully and bright. And the place is immaculate. We had the lunch special Butter Chicken, Masala Dosa with five different sauces each better than the other, and an order of biryani to complete our meal. Whatever they do to create their food, it's simply amazing. Each of the different items had a deep and rich flavor far exceeding most other Indian restaurants. This food was beyond wonderful. Cheers to the chef. And the wait staff was so polite. Thank you. Don't miss out on outstanding Indian food. This place will become your favorite too.
An absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The South Indian food was authentic and delicious—served traditionally on a banana leaf with incredible attention to detail. Every dish felt fresh, flavorful, and comforting. What truly set this place apart was the customer service. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. They surprised me with a beautiful birthday celebration, which made the entire experience so special and personal. This is not just a restaurant—it’s a place that makes you feel valued. Highly recommend.
Tried this new Indian restaurant in the Chicago suburbs and the food was honestly really good. The baby corn was packed with flavor, the idli and dosa were solid, and the sambhar with all the different chutneys was a favorite. The mini falooda was too much for me but my family enjoyed it. Service was very slow, but the space itself is really pretty and the food was worth the wait. Overall a good experience, just something to keep in mind if you are in a rush. Would still recommend trying it.
Whenever I’m in Niles, I usually visit Pita Inn, but this time I tried Magic Pepper based on a friend’s recommendation. The ambience and location are beautiful, but the food didn’t match the expectations. The Mixed Grill Platter ($22.99) had small portions, no bread, and didn’t feel worth the price. The Sharjah Shake ($9.99) tasted like a basic banana shake, though the staff kindly offered a complimentary mango lassi. The Magic Special Falooda ($12.99) was also below expectations. Overall: Great atmosphere, but not good value for money. Food quality needs improvement. Final Thoughts A restaurant can’t succeed on ambience alone — good food and value for money matter just as much. While the service gesture was appreciated, the overall dining experience did not justify the pricing. I’m s
I would have never expected to find South Indian food this good in the northwest suburbs. Magic Pepper has been opened for only 2 months but the food they serve up easily ranks among the best I’ve had anywhere in the Chicagoland area. Everything was excellent and I have nothing but praise here. The mysore dosa was phenomenal: beautifully golden without being greasy, a good balance between crisp and soft bits, and delectably toasty. The mysore paste added such a satisfying garlicky heat. The accompaniments were just as good: rich, comforting sambar and flavorful chutneys. The Andhra chicken curry was bold and incredibly flavorful with tender chicken in a savory, aromatic gravy. The garlic naan was crisp, buttery, and properly garlicky. The mango lassi was also top-tier. Their menu has ple
