Bayou Teche Guest Cottage

Cute and quiet but a few things could be fixed. The bathroom door is a barn slide style but no handle and doesn't close properly. The bathroom needs TLC. The microwave was dirty and smelled inside and one of the lamps in the living room completely fell apart when I tried to turn it on. ||I am not discouraging your stay it is cute just needs some upkeep.

This cottage was cozy and comfortable. Despite the unexpected cold snap a couple nights in late October (40s to 50s), we were warm and toasty. I enjoyed our close proximity to the bayou, so peaceful walking out early morning or evening to take in the tranquility at the water's edge. I also enjoyed "talking story" (as we say here in Hawaii where I live) with the host and hearing some about the local culture, fishing as a livelihood, and such. I am originally from New Orleans and felt our host and hostess gave us an authentic glimpse into rural Louisiana. lovely experience!

Nice little one-bedroom cottage on the Bayou. It's authentic, so don't expect a rustic look outside and the Waldorf inside. We hade everything we needed for the weekend. Great location to explore the area. Even though it's in town, it was separated from surrounding homes enough to be pretty quiet. Loved the front porch and the screened patio and the hospitality of the hosts. We hope to return soon.

Our first air b&b. Left it until late the evening before to request the booking. Got a message the following morning to say the cottage would be ready early and to come and relax whenever we wanted. Great Air B&B with direct access to Main St. Super close to Bayou Teche. My Momma and I enjoyed our visit very much. We loved sitting outside in the mornings with nature all around. I didn't speak with the owner, but she gave my Momma a lot of neat info and we used several of her recommendations.
