What a charming cafe! We had the pleasure of chatting with the owner, who was delightful and really took an interest in us. It truly added a special touch! We popped in to grab some lunch. Batavia Cafe was just what we needed! We had a half-turkey club (made with house-roasted turkey!), chicken & sausage jambalaya, salad, and turkey soup with barley and vegetables. Everything was delicious! We left with chocolate chip cookies and banana bread baked by the owner. I don’t normally eat dessert, but these baked goods were flavorful and not too sweet. The cookies were the best I’d ever tasted, and I ate each bite slowly. Lots of top-quality chocolate in a cookie reminiscent of a vanilla malt. Best cafe in summit! (My opinion). Always adding fresh additions to their menu. Recommend the avocado toast. Had it a few times but never failed to impress me with the flavor. Staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is decorated nicely with art.
Loved my experience here! I got a breakfast sandwich and some cookies, and everything tasted so fresh and homemade. The service was amazing too, Brenda was super helpful and went out of her way to recommend items and make sure my order was perfect. The whole vibe is cozy and welcoming. Definitely coming back soon!
The employees at the cafe are super friendly! The soups are homemade which is great and tastes yummy! There are so many food options to choose from. I especially love the avocado toast with over easy eggs! They also have salads and sandwiches- definitely recommend trying the spicy torta on focaccia!
We had my son’s first birthday party at Batavia on January 6th, 2024. We were so delighted with how everything turned out and the guests had an amazing time! We had access to the entire space for the party and comfortably fit over 50 people. We also hired an outside entertainer for the kids who made balloons, danced and did face painting and there was plenty of space for that as well. Mayron and his team were fabulous and planned every detail with us and were amenable to all of our requests. They catered and served the entire meal and we had numerous guests tell us how delicious the food was. There was plenty of food for everyone and we even had leftovers as well. It’s a BYO and they provided wine glasses and set up a beautiful bar area for easy self-service. We were able to decorate the s
