Barrios bowls and burritos

Been wanting to try this spot. So let’s see if they’re pretty good eh or ew. Their family owned, operated, and make everything in house fresh with real ingredients. Hopefully next time I can try their guac cuz they ran out today. But I did get their chips, chile verde bowl, and steak quesadilla to try. The chips were super crispity, crunchy, well salted, and really yummy. A bit oily tho. I got their chile verde bowl with both rices, both beans, tender caramilzed grilled veggies, fresh lettuce, corn, pico, cheese, and avocado salsa. This thing was LIKE A POUND and was super flavorful and yummy and had a good amount of large chunks of savory, tender, meaty, meat. The meat was a tad dry tho. Great tasting chicken and steak bowls, fresh tasting and packed full of flavour. They do not go light on the protein or the cheese. The guacamole is really good too. Really enjoyable and the staff are really nice.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was incredibly friendly. They cooked the ribeye right in front of us, which made the experience even better. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. I would definitely come back again! Pricing was somewhat similar to Chipotle.

Saw this place on social media and was in the area of uptown whittier today. Im glad I stopped in, food was delicious. I got the salad bowl with steak $15 plus tax, the steak is cooked to your liking and you can add all or some of the beans, rice and veggies...what put the taste over the top was the fajita veggies, sooo soo delicious! They definitely don't skimp on the meat, my bowl was a good size, i feel like it was a lot of food, and all fresh.

Stopped by Barrios Bowls & Burritos for their soft opening, and it was a nice surprise. The staff were welcoming, the place was spotless, and the food had great flavor and freshness. Their menu is similar to Chipotle, but with generous portion sizes, more heart and more flavor. They also offer healthier options like brown rice, black beans, and Diet Coke, which I really appreciated. It’s their soft opening, so I’m keeping an open mind for when they’re fully operational, but so far it feels like a great new spot for Uptown Whittier.
