Barnesville Lamar County Library

A recent renovation has resulted in an increase in resources! Lots of new upgrades and a fresh new space. The children’s area is very kid friendly, and has various areas for children of all ages. A separate area for young adults is a plus! Computers galore...very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Very nice updated library. My children love going there they have a great selection for kids books. They even have kids toys to amuse children. While the parents are trying to find stuff for themselves. Very nice staff help with a lot of different things. My children are absolutely obsessed with Mrs. Jessica she is the sweetest person ever up there.

Staff is very ignorant like to return a book I have to wait half an hour for then to stop talking also they accused me of damaging a book when I didn't damage it but sadly I don't have proof so I have to pay for the book and also I have gotten the book before and it wasent in a brand new condition for example ripped pages but I have to pay for it like brand new and sometimes more because I search up the book it turns out to be cheaper ONLINE I'm going to get books from another library I suggest you all do the same so this dosent happen to you

This is unfair because they acuesd me for damaging a book i didn't damage sadly I didn't have any proof of this to say that I didn't damage it and they didn't notice that it was damaged when they checked it out because they were to busy talking to me about stuff and I didn't pay atention and I got like 5 or 6 books and I think this is racism because they are charging me instead of the person who actually did it
