Barboursville Public Library

Our first time there and we got library cards for myself and 2 kids. The ladies were very helpful and nice. One of them even walked back upstairs for me to check for a book I asked about. I had surgery Monday and all the walking was starting to hurt so I am grateful she did that for me. Another lady had the books and was able to let me borrow them.

Nice clean library and big building. Everyone is always nice and very helpful if you need help with printing or copying or anything. You can rent movies too. The kids can get a paper with pictures of pictures to find and once they find them all they get to pick something out of the treasure chest. They have activities for the kids to do. A little play area upstairs for the kids. I don't like the parking spots and sometimes you have to park where the ballfield is.

Well organized Regularly holds events for the community & parents Several free applications with your Library. You can get audio books with Libby. Also if you or any loved ones or children want to improve your literacy, you also have access to Book Flix. They are having a huge book sale right now.

Everyone is very sweet. I went with my kids and all the workers were attentive and kind. They are doing some games and summer reading. Tons of fun!

I've been going to this library my whole life. I remember, as we called it, "the big blue library," and while I miss it, the new location is beautiful. They have many resources for the community and events for people of all ages. The staff are friendly and helpful, so if you're in the area, go support a local library!
