Barbara's Cafe

Delightful! I am so happy to have a Dominican spot in the area. We need this kind of soulful food around here. Barbara and Maggie are two sweet ladies. The place has a good parking space and is very cozy and welcoming inside. They also have baked goods and desserts. They told me they will be bringing Dominican cake slices to sell and I cannot wait! Have you ever tried Dominican cake? It's so delicious 😋. I had the Tres Golpes (Latin breakfast platter) it was soooo good. The cheese and salami were cut in a heart shape, that was a very nice detail for Valentine's weekend. I really enjoyed my visit and the conversation. I hope the community supports this new business and they stay for a long time. Cause I need to go eat more of that food ☺️

I tried Barbara's Cafe for the first time and the food was absolutely delicious. My Uncle and I both had the pernil with rice and black beans which were flavorful and perfectly cooked along with an order of tostones. The crisp on the pernil skin was perfect. Got to speak to the owner who was super friendly. Will definitely go back and it's awesome to have excellent Latin food so close by without having to drive an hour.

Stopped by right around 6am on a Tuesday and was served hot coffee with a smile! They have made a very cute cafe out of this space and the outside deck seating is a nice touch. We ordered two bacon egg and cheese bagels with SPK and were pleasantly surprised to find they came with fresh bagels and scrambled eggs instead of the standard fried egg. I personally prefer scrambled- but if you want fried you may want to be sure to specify. I also took a slice of tres leches to go and couldn’t resist sneaking a quick bite before writing this review and YUM 😋 It’s perfectly moist and sweet and melts in your mouth. Looking forward to coming back again for lunch in the near future. Best of luck to the team at Barbara’s! Oxford is glad to have you.

Food was fresh and delicious! Coffee is great too! I started to dig in before I took pic but it was so good!

Love this little place on the corner. Polite and friendly. Good choices. Good prices. Coffee is really good.
