Delicious! So glad we ate here. The food was fabulous. We ordered the rice & beans, roasted carrots and ginger honey green beans for sides. The gentleman who helped us also gave us the roasted cauliflower and mushrooms to sample. Can’t go wrong with any of the sides. I personally favored the carrots and mushrooms, but I feel the rice and beans are a must with the chicken. I wish we had this place back home. I’d be there weekly! Eat here - it exceeds expectations!
So so delicious!!! So worth the drive from Sarasota! We ordered the whole chicken so we could bring home some leftovers. We got the beans and rice which were exceptional and the fried yucca. Every morsel was delicious. Churros for dessert were exceptional. We made a day of it. Sweet Bay nursery and bought native plants and then to Dooley Groves for Orange picking and then Bapa Pollo for a delicious lunch. (Oh and don’t forget sauces for chicken, yum!!)
First time here and the food is absolutely amazing! So fresh and the veggies are perfectly cooked. Everything is really. The sauce bar adds the perfect touch to it all. Loved every single sauce, definitely my new spot 👍 lady who helped is super friendly as well. Palmetto needed this place.
Delicious! Everything was super flavorful. I got the burrito bowl with a 1/4 chicken, my friend got the 1/2 chicken with 2 sides, the green beans and the broccoli. The bowl was SO good and that street corn was to die for. The green beans were super flavorful and delicious. The chicken was a bit on the dry side but still moist enough for flavor. We came at roughly 4pm on a Tuesday, the atmosphere was a bit subdued, but that’s a quiet time everywhere. The food will blow your mind. I’ll be back to try that Purple Corn drink…
We decided to support the new Peruvian establishment Downtown on Main Street which has been fully operational for one month. They specialize in Peruvian Chicken, blackened, rotisserie-style over FOGO premium lump charcoal. The eatery has a classic Peruvian chicken place vibe. Meaning, they have what’s needed. Decor or ambience was not a priority this time since I planned on ordering “take-out”. However cleanliness, customer service, and food quality were priorities. I ordered three whole Chickens which were juicy, tender, and flavorful. Plates come with two Sides. The spicy Black Beans were delicious and Cole Slaw very good. The steak-cut French Fries and Yucca Fries both very good and light because of the 100% beef tallow used to fry. The unlimited Sauces including Aji Verde, Aji Amari
