Banh Mi Blvd

Banh Mi Blvd is a small, family-run shop tucked away in the Mesa Shopping Center, specializing in Banh mi and boba. The food: 🥪 #12 BBQ Short Rib Banh Mi ($12): The fillings were excellent. The warm short ribs were quite rich and a bit fatty. The Vietnamese garlic mayo was a savory base. I appreciated the generous amount of pickled daikon/carrots, jalapeños, and cucumbers, which provided a fresh, vibrant crunch. While the kitchen makes their baguettes fresh daily, the toasting on my order was too aggressive. It left the bread dry and brittle rather than crisp-and-chewy. Because the bread is such a crucial part of a Banh Mi, this impacted the meal. Tip: I recommend asking for "light toast" or no toast if you prefer softer bread. I had a bad experience with bahn mi elsewhere in the past. The bread was rock hard and it had cilantro all over. But Bahn Mi Blvd totally changed that. The bread has the thinnest crunchy shell but is soft and fluffy inside, the portions are great, and it’s full of delicious pickled vegetables. It felt light and refreshing, but filling (I only ate half). I think my husband liked the Filipino fusion options like longanisa fries and tacos. Appreciated the recommendation and friendly environment as well. Wishing them success.

I recommend rose tea as not many places have it around as well as their food. Kong is always providing a great service and a really friendly guy. I always look forward to his recommendations.

Came out of a terrible job interview after taking time off of the terrible job I currently have. I went to this place after my instructions led me to the wrong parking lot. Menu was very straight forward, I ordered Joe’s Special and a Vietnamese Coffee. It was absolutely amazing, the sandwich was the perfect size. The ingredients and textures complimented each other so well, and the flavor was immaculate. The coffee was pretty good too. The only good part of my day was this sandwich.
