Bang Ga Nae 방가네

I came here to try the goat soup because so many people recommended it. OMG, I regret even trying it—this was my first time, so I can’t compare it to other places, but I don’t think I’ll ever try this meal anywhere else. The soup was extremely gamey—much more intense than any lamb dish I’ve had. It was honestly hard to drink. If you’re sensitive to gaminess, I’d avoid this dish.

This place has been one of my favorite for a long time, almost 10years. Maybe due to some tight economy or something the taste changes recently and I can tell the portion gets smaller and smaller. Today, I will say goodbye to this restaurant because it was terrible gamey smell and taste. They were used to be good at handling such gamey smell very well, but as of today it is no longer true. And I dumped all after a few scoops of try. Overall if you really like gamey smell and have not much big stomach, you would be able to enjoy there. Otherwise, it can be your first and last time to visit there.

Strongly recommend the steamed goat and seafood pancake (vegetable based)! Good taste but not amazing, and they missed one of our ordered dish (having a little difficulty communicating). Worth a try but it’s also a bit expensive to be honest.

We went there to try the black goat meat, and while it does seem like it has some health benefits, that’s beside the point. The LA galbi really needs improvement. It had the worst marinade I’ve ever tasted for galbi, and the meat was tough, overly salty, and hard, making it difficult to eat.

The short old female cashier or server was so rude. She gave me a nasty attitude when I asked for no change and then has me fetch for my takeout food. This place has no gratitude for your business. No wonder why there were no customers during dinner time. Do not give this place your time. Never coming back. Zero star.
