Bamboo

My teenage son was on a mission to try authentic Chinese food. So we stopped by Bamboo following recommendations from friends. I was disappointed to find out the Chinese dishes tasted a bit off. We ordered scallion pancakes, crispy sesame chicken, miso soup and shrimp/veggie tempura. Only the tempura was good. Even the miso soup and scallion pancakes were subpar.

Nice restaurant . The food was really nice , especially the noodles . The waiter we had didn't speak much English so it was very hard to Know if she understood us and she came across a bit stern and direct . Recommend the noodles , the prawns and fish was cooked well . We had the cooked sushi ( because of all the flu concerns in Jan/ Feb ) , it was okay but I don't think it beats raw sushi .

Let me begin by saying that we had to wait for over 30 minutes to get our food for 2 people. The sushi was 3 out of 5. Nothing extra special. Presentation wasn’t the best and some pieces were not very rolled. The staff missed a small request additional ginger and brought it to the wrong table. Lots of staff laughing in the background which makes sense why they missed the request.

Wide menu selection that also includes many sushi options. Large portions filled with flavor. They also have lunch buffet on the weekend. Definitely going back to try other dishes.

Been here twice now, it is a decent buffet place to grab for lunch. Restaurant itself is cozy and nicer than most asian fusion restos, the fried wanton is good, otherwise the food is subpar, the sushi is not fresh, i had a mild stomach upset after having the tuna sushi.
