Ball Ground Tavern

My son and I had a fantastic cuban sandwich and kids chicken and rice meal. The service was excellent and the server was help with the menu. Every staff member was friendly. We will definitely be back next time we are in Ball Ground.

Food was great, atmoshere was nice, our server was not very attentive and did not seem like he wanted to be there. Requested no mustard or mayo on sandwhich, but was on there anyway, he said" oh, well she is new" and walked off. Did not offer to remake or even say i am sorry. Cuban sandwhich was good, but would have been better if they had left off the mayo and mustard as requested and added the pickle.

I had to delete my previous post as this GREAT place is under new management that cares!!! So great to see that there are some restaurateurs that have vision to provide some great options in our town! Warm welcome on arrival by the manager who not only seated us but was sure to drop by throughout our visit to check-in and make sure that everything was to our liking. Very good, actual 'tavern' style menu. Options to suit anyone's preference. I had the smash burger - which was an actual 'smash burger', unlike many places I have visited. Great flavor and well dressed. My partner had the fish and chips - very good as well and you could tell made fresh. Will definitely be going back! New ownership has renovated the inside and patio. New menu with fresh hot food. Everything I’ve had is delicious. Great drink selection. This is head and shoulders better than the old ball ground tavern. Highly recommend seeing for yourself!

Although we were not there for the atmosphere, which looks great , we ordered 2 French Dips , mozzarella sticks , and jalapeño poppers . The French dip(s) had no au jus ( x 2), the sandwich itself was so sweet and too done it was inedible . The mozorella sticks - the cheese was cold and hard. Everything was sweet or , under or over cooked , we couldn’t eat any of it. Which I hated , because we were wanting to try for awhile . We will never eat at this restaurant even if the atmosphere is good , the food is barely a 2, but more 1. All the flavors and cooking was way off . Maybe a different chef ? The manager should be aware.
